All the personnel in the Public Works Department are committed to providing quality service to the community. They always strive to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them efficiently and effectively for the citizens of Garden Ridge, whom they serve and are ultimately accountable to.
The City of Garden Ridge Public Works Department maintains the streets and drainage infrastructure within the Garden Ridge city limits, along with keeping up with building and grounds maintenance on city owned property such as the parks, City Hall, and the Community and Event Center. Animal Services is also provided by the Public Works Department. The Public Works Department maintains and monitors storm water runoff required by the State of Texas.
The staff is overseen by the Public Works Director. The staff consists of three employees that fill the positions of Public Service Representatives II, and one employee for the Animal Control Officer Position.
