Special Events

First Friday Family Night: Watch for difference family activities on the first Friday of each month.  In March we had a Camp-Out/Build-a-Fort Night.   People enjoyed roasting hot dogss, building "forts" in the library and reading in the (sort of) dark.

Storytime happens every Friday at 10:30 am.  Children will enjoy the stories, songs, games and crafts.  Upcoming story hours will be Messy March.   Be sure to dress children appropriately.

PAWS-i-tive Reading:  Shiraz is a beautiful golden doodle, trained to sit quietly and listen to your child read.  This has been a proven effective tool in aiding emerging and reluctant readers.  She is here each Monday.  You can register for a time slot between 3:00 and 4:30.  Take advantage of this wonderful offer!

Adult Coloring meets each Thursday at 1:00 pm.  This activity is relaxing, yet you'll feel creative.  You'll also enjoy the visits with other colorists.

Card-Making class is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month @ 1:00 pm.  The finished products are works of art and are sure to be heirlooms.

Lego Robotics:  Beginning March 27 the regular Legos classes will begin another six-week session.  Notice that it will move from Thursdays back to Tuesday afternoon and evenings.  The Home-Schooled Students will remain on Wednesday.

Pokemon Club:  Meets every second Saturday from 10:00-12:00 noon.

Crafting with Morena:  March 8, 1:00 PM  Learn how to transfer photos to wood.  All supplies are provided for only $15.00.

On March 14  @ 12 noon James Tart from the Comal Recycling Center will make a presentation, followed by a Q & A session.  It is sure to be informative and especially important for all who are interested in helping to keep our planet safe and healthy.

Model Car Show:  Parents/Grandparents, grab your child and enter the Model Car Show on April 14. There will be another class on building a model car Saturday, March 24 @ 10:00 AM.  This will be a working class, so bring your models and any questions for some expert help.
