City of Garden Ridge Water Company
The City of Garden Ridge Water Company is a municipally-owned public utility established to furnish a water supply for domestic residential, business, and general farm uses in the City of Garden Ridge and in its Certificate of Convenience and Necessity.

Water System
The city’s water system is rated Superior and the supply is a combination of water pumped from the Trinity Aquifer and the Edwards Aquifer. The city has an allocation of 567.567 acre feet of water that can be pumped from the Edwards Aquifer and water pumped from the Trinity Aquifer is unregulated at this time.

The total storage capacity for the city’s water system is 2,081,000 million gallons of which 881,000 is ground storage and 1,200,000 gallons of above ground storage. The city’s water system is looped and both the Trinity well site and Edwards well site are equipped with generators in case of power interruptions.
